What. A. Night. Team That's What She Said came together again last night for trivia night at Beckett's. Let me tell you, it was not my night to shine. First off, I went in there all cocky from last week, thinking I had it in the bag. The quizmaster must've known I was coming with this attitude because the questions were way harder. I think everyone was feeling the heat though because the winning team only had a score of 31, while Team TWSS came in third with 29 points. It was a close and challenging game. The Bottom Bitches were there but luckily they did not win. They did however beat our team by one point! Victory will be mine, I tell you!
There was another highlight of the night but before I tell it to you, you should know that each one of my teammates is very competitive and takes the game very seriously. I am proud to be a part of this team, don't get me wrong. But, you can imagine that Team TWSS can run into a little confrontation from time to time, especially since not everyone is as passionate about the game. But, that is no excuse for what happened.
There was a group next to our table being very loud and very drunk. Through out the night, my teammates kept trying to get them to be quiet so we could hear the questions. It eventually ended with a female teammate of mine getting hit in the face by a drunk guy. And all she did was tell him to shut the fuck up. Is that so terrible? Who goes to a bar on trivia night and doesn't even participate and tries to ruin the fun for everyone else? He obviously doesn't have much going for him. He's a mean drunk, not good looking, and he hits girls. Pathetic.
Aside from the hit heard around the bar, it was a fun night and now we have a bar fight story. If that's not a silver lining, I don't know what is. -bub
